In addition, YH-Kodit Oy and TA Asunnot Oy also rent apartments in Naantali.
Detached House Plots
The city of Naantali offers fixed-price detached house plots for sale or rent. Additionally, plot bidding competitions are organized in new residential areas. Available detached house plots, which are continuously open for application, can be found in the peaceful archipelago as well as in the developing areas of Luonnonmaa and mainland Naantali. The residential areas have municipal infrastructure ready, so construction can usually begin soon after the plot is allocated.
You can explore the available plots in the city's map service: Naantali Map Service
Plots are applied for electronically. After processing your application, you will be informed if you have been allocated a plot. Later, you will receive an official allocation decision and instructions for signing the sales contract or lease agreement and making the related payments.
The buyer/tenant is responsible for planning and constructing or having the plot built at their own expense, fulfilling the construction obligations of the plot. Construction must comply with laws, regulations, the city's building code, the area's zoning plan, the current plot division, and good construction practices.
At least 50% of the total building rights of the plot must be built within three (3) years of signing the sales contract/lease agreement.

Early Childhood Care and Education
Early Childhood and Pre-primary Education
Early childhood education is provided through municipal daycare centres, family daycare, and open early childhood education services. These services are primarily intended for children aged 0 to 6 years.
Early childhood education is a comprehensive approach that combines structured and goal-oriented care, teaching, and upbringing. In both early childhood education and pre-primary education, children learn and practice new skills together with their peers. Activities emphasize play, joy, and hands-on experiences.
Naantali has 13 municipal daycare centres and 10 family daycare providers who care for the children in their own homes. Participation in these services is subject to a fee based on the guardians’ income and family size.
As an alternative to full-day daycare, free club activities are available for children aged 2 to 4 years.
Free pre-primary education is mainly organized in connection with schools. It lasts for one year and is intended for children who turn six during that calendar year.
Open early childhood education services are also available at Väentupa Open Daycare, where babies and toddlers can participate in group activities together with their guardians. These services are provided in Finnish.
Applications for daycare, family daycare, club activities, and pre-primary education can be submitted via Päikky system starting from August 1, 2025 (available in Finnish only). Applications must be submitted at least four months before the desired starting date.

Comprehensive School Education
Naantali offers a comprehensive basic education system consisting of six primary schools, two unified comprehensive schools, and one upper comprehensive school. The goal of basic education in Finland is to support students in their growth as individuals and members of society, while also providing them with essential knowledge and skills.
Basic education is free of charge and lasts for nine years. Children begin school in the year they turn seven. Students are primarily assigned to their local school based on proximity to their home.
The language of instruction is Finnish and Swedish. Swedish-language education is provided in cooperation with the City of Turku. Maijamäki Comprehensive School offers language-enriched instruction partially in English, and Karvetti School provides preparatory education class for foreign newcomers.
Each January, families of children starting first grade the following autumn receive instructions on how to register for school. Registration is handled digitally through the Wilma system (available in Finnish only).
