Local Transport

Bus lines 6 and 6A operate frequently between Turku and Naantali. The archipelago is also accessible by local buses, although services in that direction run less frequently and mainly on weekdays. Check routes and timetables on the Föli website. 

In the archipelago, there are ferry services in Velkua and Rymättylä. All ferry and connecting boat routes and schedules can be found in the route planner opas.matka.fi 

Public Transport to Naantali

Naantali is located just 16 km from Turku and is well connected by regular bus services. Turku can be easily reached by bus, train, or plane. There is also a regular ferry connection from Sweden to Naantali.

By bus

Long-distance buses arrive at and depart from the Turku Bus Station. Local buses to Naantali also depart from near the Turku Bus Station. 

By train

Long-distance train connections are handled by the state-owned VR Group. Check the timetables to Turku on website www.vr.fi  There is no direct bus connection from Turku train station to Naantali. You can hop on the bus to Naantali at Turku city center or the bus station.

By plane

Turku Airport: www.finavia.fi Local bus 1 will take you from the airport to the centre of Turku, from where buses 6 and 6A will continue to Naantali.

By ferry

Naantali is also accessible by sea from Kapellskär, Sweden and Långnäs, Åland via Finnlines. Check cruise options and timetables on the Finnlines website: www.finnlines.com  

Parking

In the Old Town, there is a limited number of parking spaces, and the parking areas and curbside parking are subject to charge. Parking fees can be paid with cash, debit/credit card, or mobile payment. Naantali supports the EasyPark and Parkman apps.

Moominworld has its own parking area, with shuttle buses running to and from the Moominworld bus stop in the Old Town. More information: Arrival - Muumimaailma

Parking Control

During the summer, parking is monitored more actively in Naantali. The parking fine is €40, and it must be paid within 30 days. 

If you believe the parking fine or payment reminder is unjustified, you may contest it by submitting a claim of rectification within the payment period. 

The claim of rectrification can be submitted via the Helgapark service: Find ParkingFine - Helga 

The claim must be submitted within 30 days from the date the decision was attached to the vehicle or otherwise delivered. The parking fine does not need to be paid until a decision on the claim has been made.
